Guest Blogger – How to Choose Bathroom Cabinets
The typical bathroom cabinet is generally made from three primary types of material. These include blister plastic, veneer and wood, each possessing its own benefits and disadvantages and thus accommodating specific needs.Wooden Cabinets
If you are looking to create a classic look in your bathroom suite, wood is likely the ideal material to use for your cabinetry. When natural wood texture is on display, it helps to create a specific style as well as archaism. Wood cabinetry is often stenciled before it is ready to use which can be very friendly to the environment. This also makes wood cabinetry both easy to use and maintain. As wood is a natural material, and the finish tends not to be very polished, it adds warmth to a bathroom. These are typically used in period bathrooms and are more likely to be of the free standing variety than the other materials outlined here.

Veneered Cabinets
Making a veneer bathroom cabinet is a very complex task that will not be detailed here. Typically there is a high interest in pasting methods that help to prevent cracking issues. When cracking develops serious consequences are likely to arise. Veneer, when compared to wood, offers the bathroom suite a clean, simple look, and is easy to clean. These cabinets are more likely to be fitted onto or into walls than a wood finished cabinet and are also more likely to come in white and suit a more modern bathroom. Be aware that they can look more stark and sterile, which can make your bathroom look cooler unless you accessorize carefully.Blister Plastic Cabinets
One of the major benefits of blister plastic is certainly its affordable cost. This is the most cost-effective option among these three materials and does not require a tremendous amount of technique. It is waterproof and durable as well. The waterproofing afforded by blister plastic is no less than that of veneer and wood. These are commonly used in bathrooms where there is a greater number of people actually using the facilities and keeping them clean is a higher priority. It is not to say that they are necessarily unattractive, but they are often chosen on a cost basis.
